BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 11 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 12 Article – Public Safety 13 5–140. 14 (a) A dealer or other person may not transport a regulated firearm into the State 15 for the purpose of unlawfully selling or trafficking of the regulated firearm. 16 (b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a [misdemeanor] FELONY and 17 on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 10 years or a fine not exceeding 18 $25,000 or both. 19 (c) Each violation of this section is a separate crime. 20 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 21 October 1, 2025. 22
