Page 1 - 131LR0921(01) 1 2 is enacted to read: 3 4 The department shall provide a MaineCare member with mental illness who is 5 receiving adult community support services and who resides more than 10 miles away from 6 the member's community support provider's office with nonemergency transportation 7 services to and from medical and mental health appointments and to and from activities 8 identified in the member's community support individual support plan. The department 9 may adopt rules to implement this section. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are 10 routine technical rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A. 11 is enacted to read: 12 13 The department shall reimburse a community support provider or a community-based 14 mental health provider for travel time when the provider travels more than 10 miles in a 15 single direction to visit a MaineCare member for a MaineCare billable service in the 16 member's home or community-based setting. The department may adopt rules to implement 17 this section. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as defined in 18 Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A. 19 20 This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to provide a 21 MaineCare member with mental illness who is receiving adult community support services 22 and who resides more than 10 miles away from the member's community support provider's 23 office with nonemergency transportation services to and from medical and mental health 24 appointments and to and from activities identified in the member's community support 25 individual support plan.
