3 by §2, is further amended to read:

5 award of damages, including costs, against either a governmental entity or its employees, 
6 or both, may not exceed $400,000 $1,250,000 for any and all claims arising out of a single 
7 occurrence.

9 This bill increases the limitation on the award of damages against a governmental entity 
10 or its employees, or both, under the Maine Tort Claims Act from $400,000 to $1,250,000 
11 per occurrence.
