3 conduct a study to evaluate methods of gradually transitioning recipients of assistance away 
4 from MaineCare and other government assistance programs.  In conducting the study, the 
5 department shall include an analysis of income restrictions that cause a loss of benefits 
6 under MaineCare and other government assistance programs.

8 and Human Services shall submit a report based on its study in section 1 for presentation 
9 to the Second Regular Session of the 132nd Legislature.

11 This resolve directs the Department of Health and Human Services to conduct a study 
12 to evaluate methods of gradually transitioning recipients of assistance away from 
13 MaineCare and other government assistance programs. The department is required to 
14 submit a report based on its study, by December 3, 2025, for presentation to the Second 
15 Regular Session of the 132nd Legislature.
