Page 1 - 132LR0584(01)1 2 That the Department of Inland 3 Fisheries and Wildlife shall establish a pilot program for the electronic tagging of harvested 4 deer. The department may establish parameters for the program, including the length of the 5 pilot program, the designation of certain areas and registration stations where electronic 6 tagging is permitted and any other requirements the department determines necessary. The 7 department shall submit a report regarding the pilot program, including suggested 8 legislation, to the Joint Standing Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife no later than 9 December 3, 2025. The committee may report out a bill based on the report to the Second 10 Regular Session of the 132nd Legislature. 11 12 This bill directs the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to establish a pilot 13 program for the electronic tagging of harvested deer. The bill also requires the department 14 to submit a report regarding the pilot program to the Joint Standing Committee on Inland 15 Fisheries and Wildlife no later than December 3, 2025 and authorizes the committee to 16 report out a bill based on the report to the Second Regular Session of the 132nd Legislature. 12 13 14 15 16
