A sworn law enforcement officer who is employed by the Department of the 13 Secretary of State who is not an attorney but is representing the State in a libel action 14 brought pursuant to Title 29-A, section 1113, subsection 15. 15 16 This bill exempts a sworn law enforcement officer employed by the Department of the 17 Secretary of State who is not an attorney but is representing the State in a libel action related 18 to seized catalytic converters brought pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 29-A, 19 section 1113, subsection 15 from the prohibition on the unauthorized practice of law. 16 17 18 19
