Preliminary Fiscal Impact Statement
The University of Maine System will require ongoing General Fund appropriations of $3.4 million per year beginning
in fiscal year 2026-27 for the cost of awarding a waiver of tuition and fees to eligible students who are enrolled full-
time at any University of Maine system campus beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.
