2 as amended by PL 2023, c. 644, ยง2, is 
3 further amended by enacting at the end a new blocked paragraph to read:
4 For the purposes of this subsection, a high-impact electric transmission line proposed by a 
5 state agency pursuant to a requirement of law or by a state agency established by law with 
6 specific authority to propose such a line is deemed to have received the majority legislative 
7 approval required by this subsection.

9 This bill provides that a high-impact electric transmission line proposed by a state 
10 agency pursuant to a requirement of law or by a state agency established by law with 
11 specific authority to propose such a line is deemed to have received the majority legislative 
12 approval required by the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 35-A, section 3132, subsection 6-C.
