The Maine Commission on Native American Indian Affairs will also require ongoing Other Special Revenue Funds
base allocations of $500 per year beginning in fiscal year 2025-26 to authorize expenditures for per diem and other
costs of the commission in the event that funds are received from federal and other outside sources.
The University of Maine System will require ongoing General Fund appropriations of $30,000 per year beginning in
fiscal year 2025-26 for the costs associated with providing administrative support to the Maine Commission on Native
American Indian Affairs. This estimate assumes the cost for the salary and benefits of a 0.25 full-time equivalent
position as well as the cost of hosting up to 6 public meetings per year.
