Page 1 - 132LR1405(01) 1 2 as enacted by PL 1991, c. 499, §2 and affected by 3 §26, is amended to read: 4 5 services rendered by the Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory based on the 6 average costs for those services. The department shall establish services essential to the 7 public health. These services must be provided free to residents of the State. The schedule 8 of charges must exempt from fees testing for substance use or to determine a blood-alcohol 9 or drug concentration level or for analysis of a substance that is suspected of being an illegal 10 drug when such testing or analysis is conducted pursuant to a criminal investigation. 11 12 This bill prohibits the Department of Health and Human Services from establishing a 13 fee for certain testing or analysis conducted by the Health and Environmental Testing 14 Laboratory when such testing or analysis is conducted pursuant to a criminal investigation. 12 13 14
