                    HOUSE BILL NO. 5223  A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," (MCL 257.1 to 257.923) by adding section 79h. the people of the state of michigan enact: Sec. 79h. "Vulnerable transportation device" means a device in, on, or by which an individual or property, or both, is or may be transported or drawn on a highway or street by human power, or by an electrical propulsion system with an average power of 750 watts or 1 horsepower and a maximum speed on a paved level surface of not more than 30 miles per hour. Vulnerable transportation device includes, but is not limited to, all of the following: (a) An electric personal assistive mobility device as that term is defined in section 13c. (b) An electric bicycle as that term is defined in section 13e. (c) An electric skateboard as that term is defined in section 13f. (d) A bicycle as that term is defined in section 4. Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law. Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect unless all of the following bills of the 102nd Legislature are enacted into law: (a) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No.____ (request no. 02167'23). (b) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No.____ (request no. 02171'23). (c) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5224 (request no. 02549'23).
