Whereas, Jesus Christ declared blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 5, Verse 9; and Whereas, Innocent lives are being lost in both Israel and Palestine; and Whereas, Involvement in any escalation of these actions can result in further loss of American lives; now, therefore, be it Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the members of this legislative body honor peacemakers who are working to de-escalate the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. We recognize those who are working to de-escalate the war in Gaza in order to put a swift end to the loss of innocent life and mourn all who have been lost thus far.
