Substitute For SENATE BILL NO. 426 A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled "The social welfare act," (MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 117k. the people of the state of michigan enact: Sec. 117k. The department may adjust the juvenile justice residential per diem rate as needed, but must stay within the appropriated amount provided in the annual budget. The department may make changes to provider service agreements to respond to bed shortages, staff retention, and service needs. Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect October 1, 2024.
