                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to education finance; providing supplemental aid for transportation,​
1.3 nutrition, English learners, and special education; appropriating money.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. SUPPLEMENTAL PUPIL TRANSPORTATION AID.​
1.6 Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 126C.10, subdivision 18a, for fiscal year​
1.72023 only, the commissioner of education must adjust the pupil transportation adjustment​
1.8from 18.2 percent to 100 percent.​
1.9 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
1.10 Sec. 2. SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION AID.​
1.11 For fiscal year 2023 only, in addition to the amounts provided for school lunch under​
1.12Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.111, and school breakfast under Minnesota Statutes,​
1.13section 124D.1158, the commissioner must provide supplemental nutrition aid to participants​
1.14in the national school breakfast and lunch programs. A participant's supplemental nutrition​
1.15aid equals the participant's fiscal year 2022 actual expenditures for providing school breakfast​
1.16and lunch, minus the participant's fiscal year 2022 state breakfast and lunch aid, minus the​
1.17participant's fiscal year 2022 federal breakfast and lunch aid.​
1.18 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​

2.21to Minnesota Statutes, section 126C.15.​
2.22 (d) This is a onetime appropriation.​
2.23 Subd. 5.Supplemental special education cross subsidy aid.(a) For supplemental​
2.24special education cross subsidy aid:​

2.27the ratio of the school district's initial special education cross subsidy in fiscal year 2022,​

2.29education cross subsidy in fiscal year 2022 for all districts.​
2.30 (c) This is a onetime appropriation.​
