1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for an interchange at U.S. 1.3 Highway 169 and Sherburne County State-Aid Highway 4 in the city of 1.4 Zimmerman; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. SHERBURNE COUNTY; ZIMMERMAN INTERCHANGE. 1.7 Subdivision 1.Appropriations.(a) $14,800,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds 1.8fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to Sherburne County for property 1.9acquisition, engineering, and construction for the local road portions of an interchange at 1.10marked U.S. Highway 169 and Sherburne County State-Aid Highway 4 in the city of 1.11Zimmerman. This grant is available after the commissioner of management and budget 1.12determines that an amount sufficient to complete the project has been committed to the 1.13project, as required by Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.502. 1.14 (b) $34,900,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds account in the trunk highway 1.15fund to the commissioner of transportation for property acquisition, engineering, and 1.16construction of the trunk highway portions of an interchange at marked U.S. Highway 169 1.17and Sherburne County State-Aid Highway 4 in the city of Zimmerman. 1.18 Subd. 2.Bond sales.(a) To provide the money appropriated in this section from the 1.19bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds 1.20of the state in any amount up to $14,800,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the 1.21effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota 1.22Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. 1Section 1. No. 436 NINETY-THIRD SESSION 2.1 (b) To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond proceeds account 2.2in the trunk highway fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue 2.3bonds of the state in an amount up to $34,900,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with 2.4the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 167.50 to 167.52, and by the Minnesota 2.5Constitution, article XIV, section 11, at the times and in the amounts requested by the 2.6commissioner of transportation. The proceeds of the bonds, except accrued interest and any 2.7premium received from the sale of the bonds, must be deposited in the bond proceeds account 2.8in the trunk highway fund. 2.9 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment. 2Section 1.
