                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to education finance; clarifying school district eligibility for school library​
1.3 aid; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 124D.992, subdivision 1.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 124D.992, subdivision 1, is amended to read:​
1.6 Subdivision 1.School library aid.For fiscal year 2024 and later, school library aid for​
1.7a an independent or special school district equals the greater of $16.11 times the district's​
1.8adjusted pupil units for the school year or $40,000. For fiscal year 2024 and later, school​
1.9library aid for a charter school equals the greater of $16.11 times the charter school's adjusted​
1.10pupil units for the school year or $20,000.​
1.11 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective retroactively for revenue in fiscal year​
1.122024 and later.​
