1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the replacement of drinking
1.3 water infrastructure in the city of South St. Paul.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. SOUTH ST. PAUL; DRINKING WATER INFRASTRUCTURE.
1.6 $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the Public
1.7Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of South St. Paul to design, construct, and equip
1.8the replacement of drinking water infrastructure to address pressure fluctuations and reduced
1.9flow issues. This appropriation is available after the commissioner of management and
1.10budget determines that an amount sufficient to complete the project has been committed to
1.11the project, as required by Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.502. This is a onetime
1.12appropriation and is available until the project is completed or abandoned subject to
1.13Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
