1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to public benefits; prohibiting the commissioner of human services or 1.3 children, youth, and families from rescinding public assistance benefits due to 1.4 vaccination status; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, sections 142A.03, by adding 1.5 a subdivision; 256.01, by adding a subdivision. 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 142A.03, is amended by adding a subdivision 1.8to read: 1.9 Subd. 35.Rescinding of benefits prohibited.(a) The commissioner must not rescind 1.10any public assistance benefits distributed by the department of any person due to that person's 1.11vaccination status. 1.12 (b) The commissioner must not rescind any public assistance benefits distributed by the 1.13department of any person, parent, caregiver, guardian, legal custodian, or head of household 1.14due to the vaccination status of a person under their care. 1.15 Sec. 2.
