1.2 relating to capital investment; modifying an appropriation for a recycling recovery
1.3 facility in Hennepin County; amending Laws 2023, chapter 71, article 1, section
1.4 3, subdivision 4.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Laws 2023, chapter 71, article 1, section 3, subdivision 4, is amended to read:

1.7Subd. 4.Hennepin County; Anaerobic Digester
1.8Recycling Recovery Facility
1.9For a grant to Hennepin County to predesign,
1.10design, construct, furnish, and equip a new
1.11anaerobic digestion recycling recovery facility
1.12in the city of Brooklyn Park. This project
1.13includes the demolition of the Hennepin
1.14County Sheriff's facility at the site to make
1.15room for the recycling recovery facility.
1.16This appropriation is not available until
1.17Hennepin County submits a plan for the
1.18cessation of operations at the Hennepin Energy
1.19Recovery Center to the chairs and ranking
1.20minority members of the legislative
1.21committees with primary jurisdiction over
1.22capital investment and environment and
1.23natural resources.
