1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to game and fish; removing expiration of crossbow hunting and fishing
1.3 allowance; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 97B.037.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 97B.037, is amended to read:
1.6 97B.037 CROSSBOW HUNTING AND FISHING.
1.7 (a) Notwithstanding section 97B.035, subdivisions 1 and 2, a person may take deer,
1.8bear, turkey, common carp, or native rough fish by crossbow during the respective regular
1.9archery seasons. The transportation requirements of section 97B.051 apply to crossbows
1.10during the regular archery deer, bear, turkey, common carp, or native rough fish season.
1.11Crossbows must meet the requirements of section 97B.106, subdivision 2. A person taking
1.12deer, bear, turkey, common carp, or native rough fish by crossbow under this section must
1.13have a valid license to take the respective game.
1.14 (b) This section expires June 30, 2025.
