1.2 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for a grant to Art From
1.3 the Inside to use the arts to address the needs of incarcerated persons and persons
1.4 on supervised release.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; ART FROM THE INSIDE.
1.7 $150,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $150,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the
1.8arts and cultural heritage fund to the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Humanities Center
1.9for a grant to Art From the Inside to use the arts, including but not limited to visual art,
1.10poetry, literature, theater, dance, and music, to address the supportive, therapeutic, and
1.11rehabilitative needs of incarcerated persons and persons on supervised release and promote
1.12a safer correctional facility and community environment.
