                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money for New American​
1.3 workforce training.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MINNESOTA.​
1.6 $550,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $550,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
1.7workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development​
1.8for a grant to the International Institute of Minnesota. Grant funds must be used for workforce​
1.9training for New Americans in industries in need of a trained workforce. These are onetime​
1.10appropriations.​
