1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for capital improvements at
1.3 the Magnus Veterans Wellness Clinic.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; MAGNUS VETERANS FOUNDATION.
1.6 $900,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of veterans affairs for a grant to Magnus Veterans Foundation to design, construct, renovate,
1.8equip, and furnish capital improvements to the Magnus Veterans Wellness Clinic in the city
1.9of Dayton. This appropriation includes money for major projects that reconfigure, renovate,
1.10and expand existing space; energy efficiency improvements; major projects that preserve
1.11or replace HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems; and other site renovations to support
1.12ongoing operations. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is
1.13completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
