1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money to Twin Cities R!SE for
1.3 the Empowerment Institute.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. TWIN CITIES R!SE; APPROPRIATION.
1.6 $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the
1.7workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development
1.8for a grant to Twin Cities R!SE to increase the capacity of their Empowerment Institute
1.9through personal empowerment training, employer partnerships, and implementation of the
1.10youth personal empowerment curriculum throughout the state. This is a onetime appropriation
1.11and funds are available until June 30, 2028.
