                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to children, youth, and families; appropriating money for grants for forensic​
1.3 interview training scholarships.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; FORENSIC INTERVIEW TRAINING​
1.6SCHOLARSHIPS.​
1.7 $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
1.8general fund to the commissioner of children, youth, and families for grants to nationally​
1.9recognized forensic interview protocol organizations to award scholarships for basic forensic​
1.10interview training, advanced forensic interview training, and training on specialized interview​
1.11topics. Scholarship recipients may include individuals in law enforcement, child protection,​
1.12and prosecution; health professionals investigating, treating, and managing child maltreatment​
1.13cases in Minnesota; and forensic interviewers at children's advocacy centers.​
