1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a grant to the Organization
1.3 of Liberians in Minnesota.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; THE ORGANIZATION OF LIBERIANS IN
1.6MINNESOTA.
1.7 $400,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.8of employment and economic development for a grant to the Organization of Liberians in
1.9Minnesota (OLM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for the renovation, construction,
1.10furnishing, and equipping of their current community center in Brooklyn Park to provide
1.11culturally appropriate programs and services to meet the diverse needs of community
1.12members in the northwest suburbs. This appropriation is available until the project is
1.13completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime
1.14appropriation.
