1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to higher education; appropriating money for student programs and services
1.3 at the University of Minnesota.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; STUDENT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.
1.6 $30,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $30,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated
1.7from the general fund to the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota to improve
1.8and expand programs and services that increase student success by meeting basic needs
1.9such as food and housing; increasing access to mental health services; creating active,
1.10in-person learning environments; and expanding career preparation and placement.
