1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to higher education; appropriating money for CentraCare residency
1.3 programs at Rice Memorial Hospital and St. Cloud Hospital.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; CENTRACARE RESIDENCY PROGRAMS.
1.6 $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.7the general fund to the commissioner of the Office of Higher Education for a grant to
1.8CentraCare for residency programs and tracks based at CentraCare - Rice Memorial Hospital
1.9and CentraCare - St. Cloud Hospital. This appropriation must be used for the costs of
1.10establishing and operating new residency programs and tracks and maintaining existing
1.11residency programs. Costs covered by this appropriation include but are not limited to
1.12administration, curriculum development, resident recruitment, training, and resident stipends.
