1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to housing; appropriating money for a grant to YWCA St. Paul.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; YWCA ST. PAUL HOUSING PROGRAM.
1.5 $750,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.6of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for a grant to YWCA St. Paul to administer the
1.7YWCA St. Paul housing program that offers permanent supportive housing and transitional
1.8housing. Money from the grant must be used to maintain stable housing opportunities;
1.9provide direct financial assistance for move-in costs, transportation, rental support, and
1.10housing transitions; sustain economic mobility initiatives, ensuring participants can pursue
1.11job training, higher education, and financial independence; and expand case management
1.12and support services, including mental health services, financial literacy, and workforce
1.13development. This is a onetime appropriation.
