1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to children and families; clarifying eligibility determinations for 1.3 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program households; amending Minnesota 1.4 Statutes 2024, section 142F.101. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 142F.101, is amended to read: 1.7 142F.101 ASSET INCOME LIMITATIONS FOR SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION 1.8ASSISTANCE PROGRAM HOUSEHOLDS. 1.9 All The county or Tribal agency must determine each Supplemental Nutrition Assistance 1.10Program (SNAP) households must be determined household eligible for the benefit discussed 1.11under section 256.029. Each SNAP households household must demonstrate that their its 1.12gross income is equal to or less than 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines for the 1.13same family size. 1Section 1.
