1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to transportation; appropriating money for greater Minnesota transit
1.3 operating assistance.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; GREATER MINNESOTA TRANSIT.
1.6 $7,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of transportation for operating assistance for greater Minnesota transit systems under
1.8Minnesota Statutes, section 174.24. This appropriation must be used as replacement funding
1.9when the operating assistance share paid from local sources is smaller than the maximum
1.10percentages under Minnesota Statutes, section 174.24, subdivision 3b. This is a onetime
1.11appropriation and is available until June 30, 2027.
