1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; PARENTS IN COMMUNITY ACTION.
1.6 $924,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to Parents in Community Action,
1.8Inc. (PICA) to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations necessary for expanding child
1.9care services to infants. Money may be used to support the acquisition and installation of
1.10fire sprinkler systems at PICA's child care facilities. This is a onetime appropriation.
