                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; amending an appropriation for the Heartland State​
1.3 Trail in Becker County; amending Laws 2023, chapter 72, article 1, section 7,​
1.4 subdivision 18.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. Laws 2023, chapter 72, article 1, section 7, subdivision 18, is amended to read:​
2,950,000​1.7Subd. 18.Heartland State Trail​
1.8(a) For capital improvements to the Heartland​
1.9State Trail. Of this amount, (1) $550,000 is​
1.10for construction of a trail segment of the​
1.11Heartland State Trail between Detroit Lakes​
1.12and Frazee, with any remaining money to be​
1.13used for environmental review, preliminary​
1.14engineering, and design of the Heartland Trail​
1.15from the west Becker County line to Detroit​
1.16Lakes, Park Rapids to Osage, and from Osage​
1.17to Frazee; and (2) $2,400,000 is for the​
1.18environmental review, predesign, design, and​
1.19construction of a paved multiple-use trail to​
1.20connect Itasca State Park to the Heartland​
1.21State Trail beginning from the park contact​
1.22station to the park's southeast boundary and​
1.23through a Phase 1 tunnel to be constructed​
