                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to higher education; making for-profit institutions ineligible for the state​
1.3 grant program; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 136A.121, by adding​
1.4 a subdivision.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 136A.121, is amended by adding a subdivision​
1.7to read:​
1.8 Subd. 1a.Eligible institution.For purposes of this section, "eligible institution" has the​
1.9meaning given in section 136A.101, subdivision 4, except to be an eligible institution, a​
1.10private institution must be operated not-for-profit.​
1.11 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective beginning in the fall 2026 academic​
1.12term.​
