1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to game and fish; providing for free angling licenses to residents age 65 1.3 or over; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 97A.441, by adding a 1.4 subdivision. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 97A.441, is amended by adding a subdivision 1.7to read: 1.8 Subd. 11.Angling; age 65 or older.(a) A person authorized to issue licenses must issue, 1.9without a fee, a permanent license to take fish by angling to a resident who is age 65 or 1.10older. 1.11 (b) A driver's license or Minnesota identification card serves as satisfactory evidence to 1.12obtain a license under this subdivision at all agent locations. 1Section 1.
