                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for improvements to the​
1.3 intersection at Carver County State-Aid Highway 51 and U.S. Highway 212;​
1.4 authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. CARVER COUNTY; COUNTY STATE-AID HIGHWAY 51 AND U.S.​
1.7HIGHWAY 212 INTERSECTION SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS.​
1.8 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$6,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds​
1.9account in the state transportation fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to​
1.10Carver County for the design, engineering, and construction of improvements to the​
1.11intersection of Carver County State-Aid Highway 51 and U.S. Highway 212. This project​
1.12includes County State-Aid Highway 51 roadway construction, a bridge over U.S. Highway​
1.13212, side street construction, drainage, and water quality improvements. This appropriation​
1.14is available when the commissioner of management and budget determines that an amount​
1.15sufficient has been committed to complete the project, as required by Minnesota Statutes,​
1.16section 16A.502.​
1.17 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond​
1.18proceeds account in the state transportation fund, the commissioner of management and​
1.19budget shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an amount up to $6,000,000 in the manner,​
1.20upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to​
1.2116A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.​
