1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to state government; appropriating money for an interchange at Interstate
1.3 Highway 35 and County State-Aid Highway 19 in Chisago County; authorizing
1.4 the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. INTERCHANGE AT INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AND COUNTY
1.7STATE-AID HIGHWAY 19; CHISAGO COUNTY.
1.8 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$1,500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund
1.9to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to Chisago County for preliminary
1.10engineering, environmental review, final design engineering, and right-of-way acquisition
1.11for the reconstruction of the interchange at the intersection of marked Interstate Highway
1.1235 and County State-Aid Highway 19 in Chisago County and reconstruction of County
1.13State-Aid Highway 19 and associated city streets from the intersection of County State-Aid
1.14Highway 19 and marked Interstate Highway 35 up to and including the intersection of
1.15County State-Aid Highway 30.
1.16 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
1.17proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.18the state in an amount up to $1,500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.19prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.20Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.21 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
