1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money to predesign, design, construct,
1.3 furnish, and equip an assisted living and memory care facility in the city of Slayton.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; OPERATION PRAIRIE VENTURE.
1.6 $5,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to Operation Prairie Venture, a
1.8501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip an
1.9assisted living and memory care facility in the city of Slayton. This appropriation is onetime
1.10and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes,
1.11section 16A.642.
