                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to state government; prohibiting state financial assistance to noncitizens;​
1.3 proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16A.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. [16A.1395] FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO NONCITIZENS​
1.6PROHIBITED.​
1.7 Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a noncitizen, whether lawfully present or​
1.8undocumented, is not eligible for state financial assistance. For purposes of this section,​
1.9"state financial assistance" means any payment, grant, loan, in-kind assistance, subsidy,​
1.10public assistance, or other form of financial aid or assistance funded by state tax revenue.​
