1.2 relating to public safety; prohibiting impersonating a military service member,​
1.3 veteran, or public official for political gain; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024,​
1.4 section 609.475.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 609.475, is amended to read:​
1.7 609.475 IMPERSONATING A MILITARY SERVICE MEMBER, VETERAN,​
1.8OR PUBLIC OFFICIAL.​
1.9 Whoever falsely impersonates an active or reserve component military service member,​
1.10veteran, or public official with intent to wrongfully obtain money, property, or any other​
1.11tangible benefit or for political gain is guilty of a misdemeanor.​
