                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a regional shelter facility​
1.3 in the city of Cambridge.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; NEW PATHWAYS.​
1.6 $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to New Pathways, Inc., to design,​
1.8construct, furnish, and equip a regional shelter facility to provide comprehensive support​
1.9services for families with children experiencing homelessness in the city of Cambridge and​
1.10the surrounding area. This appropriation is available until the project is completed or​
1.11abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.​
1.12 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
