1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to transportation; providing for placement of automated license plate 1.3 readers in trunk highway rights-of-way; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 1.4 161.434. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 161.434, is amended to read: 1.7 161.434 INTERSTATE AND USE OF TRUNK HIGHWAY RIGHTS-OF-WAY; 1.8LIMITED USE. 1.9 Subdivision 1.Limited use.The commissioner may also make such arrangements and 1.10agreements as the commissioner deems necessary in the public interest for the limited use 1.11of land owned as interstate or trunk highway right-of-way, which. The use shall must be 1.12for highway purposes, including aesthetic purposes, but not including the erection of 1.13permanent buildings, except buildings or structures erected for the purpose of providing 1.14information to travelers through commercial and public service advertising pursuant to 1.15agreements as provided in sections 160.272 to 160.276.
