1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to health care; regulating prepayments for certain dental services; amending 1.3 Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 150A.11, by adding a subdivision. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 150A.11, is amended by adding a subdivision 1.6to read: 1.7 Subd. 5.Prepayment for certain dental services.For dental services in a dental 1.8treatment plan scheduled to take more than 90 days to complete, a dentist or dental practice 1.9is prohibited from requiring the patient to prepay any portion of the amount owed for the 1.10dental services before beginning to provide the dental services.
