1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.
1.6 Subdivision 1.Department of Education.The sums indicated in this section are
1.7appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years
1.8designated.
1.9 Subd. 2.Alternative programs.(a) For a grant to the Minnesota Association of
1.10Alternative Programs STARS (Success, Teamwork, Achievement, Recognition, and
1.11Self-esteem) program to help students in alternative programs develop employment,
1.12academic, and social skills and to support student participation in trainings and conferences:

1.15 (b) The base for fiscal year 2028 and later is $55,000.
1.16 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective July 1, 2025.
