                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to education finance; authorizing a grant for the activities of the Minnesota​
1.3 Alliance With Youth Promise Fellow program; appropriating money.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; PROMISE FELLOW PROGRAM.​
1.6 Subdivision 1.Department of Education.The sums indicated in this section are​
1.7appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal years​
1.8designated.​
1.9 Subd. 2.Minnesota Alliance With Youth.(a) For grants to the Minnesota Alliance​
1.10With Youth to improve student attendance and academic engagement through the Promise​
1.11Fellow program:​

2027​.....​1,000,000​1.13 $​
1.14 (b) The Promise Fellow program must form partnerships with AmeriCorps members,​
1.15individual schools, school districts, charter schools, and community organizations to provide​
1.16attendance and academic engagement intervention services. Services may include family​
1.17and caregiver outreach and engagement, academic support, connection to out-of-school​
1.18activities and resources, and individual and small group mentoring designed to help students​
1.19return to and maintain consistent school attendance.​
1.20 (c) The Minnesota Alliance With Youth must promote Promise Fellow program​
1.21opportunities throughout the state.​
