1.3 Alliance With Youth Promise Fellow program; appropriating money.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; PROMISE FELLOW PROGRAM.
1.6 Subdivision 1.Department of Education.The sums indicated in this section are
1.7appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal years
1.8designated.
1.9 Subd. 2.Minnesota Alliance With Youth.(a) For grants to the Minnesota Alliance
1.10With Youth to improve student attendance and academic engagement through the Promise
1.11Fellow program:

2027.....1,000,0001.13 $
1.14 (b) The Promise Fellow program must form partnerships with AmeriCorps members,
1.15individual schools, school districts, charter schools, and community organizations to provide
1.16attendance and academic engagement intervention services. Services may include family
1.17and caregiver outreach and engagement, academic support, connection to out-of-school
1.18activities and resources, and individual and small group mentoring designed to help students
1.19return to and maintain consistent school attendance.
1.20 (c) The Minnesota Alliance With Youth must promote Promise Fellow program
1.21opportunities throughout the state.
