                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to elections; improving access to voter reports in a timely manner;​
1.3 amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 201.091, subdivision 5.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 201.091, subdivision 5, is amended to read:​
1.6 Subd. 5.Copy of list to registered voter.The county auditors and the secretary of state​
1.7shall provide copies of the public information lists in electronic or other media to any voter​
1.8registered in Minnesota within ten two business days of receiving a written or electronic​
1.9request accompanied by payment of the cost of reproduction. The county auditors and the​
1.10secretary of state shall make a copy of the list available for public inspection without cost.​
1.11An individual who inspects or acquires a copy of a public information list may not use any​
1.12information contained in it for purposes unrelated to elections, political activities, or law​
1.13enforcement.​
1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
