1.2 relating to judiciary; appropriating money for forensic navigator services.​
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; FORENSIC NAVIGATOR SERVICES.​
1.5 $....... in fiscal year 2026 and $....... in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the general​
1.6fund to the supreme court for forensic navigator services in each of the ten judicial districts.​
1.7The amount given to each district must be based on the population of the district according​
1.8to the most recent United States census data. In distributing funds, the supreme court may​
1.9also consider the specific needs of each district, including disparities in current available​
1.10resources, travel time and costs for forensic navigators in rural areas, and video technology​
1.11for remote hearings.​
