1.2 relating to higher education; appropriating money for a grant to Minnesota
1.3 Independence College and Community for student scholarships and other specified
1.4 purposes.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA INDEPENDENCE COLLEGE AND
1.7COMMUNITY .
1.8 $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.9the general fund to the commissioner of the Office of Higher Education for a grant to
1.10Minnesota Independence College and Community for need-based scholarships, tuition
1.11reduction, institutional support, and exploration and execution for the expansion of
1.12programming. Eligibility for scholarships and tuition reduction is limited to resident students,
1.13as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 136A.101, subdivision 8.
