1.2 relating to veterans; requesting the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum​
1.3 to provide free access to a guest of a disabled veteran; amending Minnesota Statutes​
1.4 2024, section 137.375.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 137.375, is amended to read:​
1.7 137.375 DISABLED VETERANS; UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA LANDSCAPE​
1.8ARBORETUM.​
1.9 (a) For purposes of this section, "disabled veteran" means a veteran as defined in section​
1.10197.447 who is certified as disabled. "Certified as disabled" means certified in writing by​
1.11the United States Department of Veterans Affairs or the state commissioner of veterans​
1.12affairs as having a permanent service-connected disability.​
1.13 (b) The University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is requested to provide a disabled​
1.14veteran and one guest unlimited access to the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum​
1.15located in the city of Chaska free of charge. The disabled veteran must provide a veteran​
1.16photo identification card with the term "service-connected" on the identification card,​
1.17verifying that the disabled veteran has a service-connected disability.​
