1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.​
1.5 Subdivision 1.Department of Health.The sum indicated in this section is appropriated​
1.6from the general fund to the Department of Health for the fiscal year designated.​
1.7 Subd. 2.Suicide prevention curriculum.(a) For a grant to the Division of Indian Work​
1.8to develop suicide prevention curriculum:​

1.10 (b) The Division of Indian Work must use the grant award to develop and pilot culturally​
1.11specific suicide prevention curriculum for Native American youth. The curriculum must​
1.12engage students in topics of mental health, emotional intelligence, and depression and suicide​
1.13to increase understanding of mental wellness and provide practical tools for supporting​
1.14themselves and others through painful times.​
1.15 (c) This is a onetime appropriation.​
